Friday Bride #37

Laurel dress

Fill today's daydreams with Sarah & Andy's wedding in the stunning Amalfi Coast! Talk about picturesque! This adorable couple said their 'I dos' in the summer of 2016. Rustic, warm and charming, with an incredible coastal backdrop, Sarah & Andy kept true to their unbelievable surroundings and opted for a destination wedding that would give their family and friends an experience to remember.

Wearing a dress just as gorgeous as their venue, Sarah looked ultra chic in our beautiful Laurel gown. The drop-waist and striking open back feature suited Sarah's boho style and fitted perfectly with their relaxed wedding.

1. Be true to who you are. This is your day, not your parents' (we all know they get very excited!) so plan it exactly the way you want it!

2. Take your time finding your dress. Visit all the shops and designers you like until you find the one that is perfect for you.

3.Try to keep details from your guests where you can; it's lovely seeing their reactions when you throw in some surprises!

4.Take plenty of moments for you and your husband-to-be to really enjoy the planning. You'll get told this a lot but the time does go incredibly quickly so make the most of the cake tasting, suit shopping and make lots of opportunities for celebrating. Prosecco definitely should become part of the staple diet at this time in life!

5. Don't stress - it'll all turn out perfectly on the day!

Beaumont dress / Latil Skirt / Perlu Belt

The day you become bound to the one you absolutely love is ever so personal; so why not make it just as unique as you are! In late June of this year, Jasmin & Iain made their way to gorgeous Tuscany, surrounded by many happy faces, to their destination wedding at Fattoria Mansi Bernardini, a picturesque olive farm. The couple invited all their family and friends to share in three glorious days on the stunning property with them. The intimate venue allowed this couple to consolidate their love, simply in the presence of their nearest and dearest. It also gave them the opportunity to have a lot of fun with their guests and celebrate in true Italian style - with food of course!

Beautiful Jasmin stunned wearing our Beaumont dress, detailled with delicate ties, layered with our soft tulle Latil skirt and accessorised with our Perlu belt. Perfect for a warm, Tuscan summer! Teamed with a classic pair of gold, open-toed sandals and statement drop earrings, Jasmin looked absolutely divine when she said her 'I do's!

1. Do take a step back on the day and look around and just take it all in. It’s all so overwhelming, someone always wants to talk, hug or photograph you so it’s nice to take five minutes and watch. When people say to make sure to enjoy your day, they really mean it.

2. Definitely invest in great photography, the day is such a blur to us that the images help us remember everything that happened and also prove that it wasn’t all just a big dream.

3. Make mood boards. I made them on Power Point and bound them into little booklets which really helped me see the day come to life and bring clarity to different ideas. It was also the most fun I ever had. A dreamer’s dream.

4. Write your own vows. It made the ceremony so much more special and personal. We put some humour in them too and Iain liked mine so much, he hardly could say his as he had to cry so much. We’ll put them in our wedding album and always remind ourselves of what we promised each other.

5. Video the speeches. I really wish we did that. The best men were hilarious and my mum gave such an amazing and moving speech in her second language. I wish I could watch them again.

6. Have an instant camera! Having an instant camera at the wedding meant we had photos from the day straight away. This kept us going before we got the official snaps!

Merenda dress

Love was in the air when Merrin & Adam brought beauty to the countryside this summer. They celebrated their wedding day at Elmore Court, near their home of Gloucestershire, in the company of dear friends and family. The charming location and joyous British sunshine perfectly suited the young couple's hopes of a relaxed wedding day that turned into a wonderful, big party! Drawing inspiration from their divine venue, they hosted their wedding breakfast BBQ and speeches outside in the meadow, leaving guests in complete awe of the setting, as you will be too!

Floating through the dandelions wearing our Merenda dress, Merrin looked gorgeous. She complemented the unique, art-deco lace and dreamy skirt with a sweet touch of natural wild flowers in her hair and bouquet; bringing this feminine and youthful style to life!

1. Don’t leave everything to the last minute. We were pretty well prepared and had plenty of time, but there were some things that I would have liked to have done that in the run up to the wedding I just ran out of time to do.

2. Remember your own style when choosing your dress and think about your venue and how it will all fit (don’t buy stilettos if you know you will be walking in a meadow!)

3. We wanted to make our wedding easy for everyone so we had it in our home town. We also wanted to make sure everyone had a great time and could come. But we also stuck to our guns when it came to doing things our way, like having long tables, doing the speeches outside, choosing a DJ and music we like. It all worked out perfectly and everyone loved it.

4. Remember to plan as a couple. We had pretty separate roles, Adam managed the budget and I did all the creative bits, but we very much made decisions as a couple which meant that our day reflected us and how we are together.

5. Ask for help. One of my favourite things was spending the two days before making the cake and table plan with my Mum and Sister and setting up with all of our friends.

With many thank yous to all of our wonderful #Friday Brides, we've reached an incredible milestone by inspiring CB Brides-To-Be for an entire year!
