1.Please describe the style of your wedding

Bringing a bit of our London life to Shropshire. My husband is a DJ and myself Head of Events we both had a real passion to make it an experience, an event! We took our guests on a journey with some important personal touches along the way.

2. When and where did your partner propose to you?

My partner proposed in the grounds of a beautiful hotel in Tuscany overlooking the city of Florence.

3. Which dress did you choose and why? And where did you buy it from?

I had the Payton slip with the stunning ostrich feather Piora overskirt and a silk sash. I wanted something really different and the moment I saw the Piora I knew it was the one, I loved walking around it and loved the way I could take it off at night to reveal the slip underneath.

4. How was your experience shopping for your wedding dress? ( was it easy, was it memorable, was it fun?, was the decision tough?)

Overall quite difficult as I didn't really know what I wanted, I wanted something different but didn't know what style. I visited too many shops and exhausted myself too quickly...untill I found Charlie Brear!

5. What would your advice be to other brides shopping for a wedding dress?

Really search online first and make a pinterest of what you love. Then go and try a range of them on to get a real good feel as to what you want before getting into it properly. Take your time, don't rush and don't expect it to be all champagne and cooing like in the movies.

6.How did you feel after you had ordered your dress?

over the moon! I fell in love with the feather skirt, absolutely loved it and couldn't think of anything else. The overall experience at Charlie Brear was the best by a long way, they were more than helpful with me and I can't thank them enough.

7. What shoes did you wear?

I wore some shoes from a boutique called WTR in Notting Hill, they had a little matching clutch bag too, I fell in love with them before the dress.

8. Did you struggle finding the right lingerie that worked with your dress, if so would you recommend anything for future brides?

Yes, I really really struggled with this and I really regretted not doing something different, my bra kept slipping down the whole day. I had an M&S strapless but it just didn't hold.

9. Who did your hair & make-up and how did you find them?

I had a hairdresser and a make up artist from near Oswestry, Shropshire. Helena Restall made me look beautiful(tough job). she was super friendly and professional and did it exactly how I wanted. Kirsty Taylor did loose curls in my hair with a Tilly Thomas Luxx clip, she did them perfectly and they stayed in all day (MAGIC!). My bridal party were also so happy with their hair.

10.Where and when did you get married?

Bridal House - Plas Yolyn Ceremony - Halston Hall Chapel, Shropshire Drinks Reception - Halston Hall Lawn Reception - My parents house

11. How did you feel walking down the aisle?

Very very excited, no nerves just excited to see Kas.

12. What traditions did you follow? (Think something old, new, borrowed and blue.)

Old - I had my nan's engagement ring taken apart and the diamond's from it put into my wedding band so that was very special to me. New - pretty much everything! Borrowed - I forgot actually, oops! Blue - one of my flowers are navy in my bouquet!

13. Did your wedding have any quirky or unusual features?

I like to think that we had many. My favourite quirky bits: Our whole ceremony was conducted by our mutual friend, Ajay, who introduced us. He did the most incredible job and we will never be able to thank him enough. He even put a feminist spin on things involving our mothers in the ceremony and adding touches like 'you may now kiss the groom'. Halston Hall(where the ceremony was) had an owner named Mad Jack Mytton, and back in the 1800s he had a pet grizzly bear which he'd ride on it's back to dinner parties. He was a complete eccentric and there is a lot of stories about him, we featured him a lot in the wedding from the history in the chapel for people to read to buying a 6ft stuffed bear with a top hat to have in our photo booth. My husband owns a record label so we had our order of service made into a record sleeve. We had a 1950s bus take guests from one place to the next and we made sure that guests were entertained with a little quiz on the bus.

14. What was the funniest moment of the day?

My dad listing Drum and Bass DJs in his speech. Also our good friend Simon read out the quiz answers and was hilarious.

15. Who took your wedding pictures?

The Crawleys (Liam Crawley) He was our favourite supplier of the wedding, we cannot thank him enough, what a talented man!

16. If you could do it all again, would you do anything differently?

Go around the tables each course and say hi to everyone, I feel like I didn't speak to anyone all day, it goes so quick!

17. Did you find organising your wedding an easy process? What parts were easy and what parts were trickier?

I loved every minute, it's my job so hopefully I should be good at it (I hope)!

18.What will you do with your dress now?

Frame the feather skirt, don't know how but I will!

19.What are you and your husband's best memories of the day?

The ceremony - having everyone we love in one beautiful chapel. Ajay conducted the ceremony incredibly and we didn't stop crying all the way through. Our bridal party and grooms party were amazing, we couldn't have asked for better people around us on our special day.
